CREED Foundation is pleased to announce the successful completion of Pad a Girl Child 3.0, an outreach held at Good Child Secondary School, Enugwu-Ukwu, Anambra State, Nigeria, on July 24, 2026.
This was organized as part of our ongoing commitment to promoting menstrual health, menstrual hygiene, dignity, and empowerment among girls. Sanitary pads were distributed to students and teachers at the school. The initiative provided an opportunity to support beneficiaries with essential menstrual hygiene products while also drawing attention to the challenges many girls face in managing their periods.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement and appreciation as students and teachers received the sanitary pads. Beyond the distribution of menstrual products, the outreach served as a reminder that every girl deserves the opportunity to manage her menstrual cycle with dignity, confidence and without shame.
For many girls, access to menstrual hygiene products is a serious challenge. Period poverty can prevent girls from managing menstruation safely and comfortably and may affect their participation in school and other daily activities.
This is why this initiative, Pad a Girl Child 3.0 was carried out although distributing sanitary pads provides immediate support, addressing period poverty requires continued awareness, advocacy and collective action. Access to menstrual hygiene products should not be a barrier to a girl’s education, health or participation in society activities. We continue to advocate for increased access to affordable and, where possible, free sanitary pads for girls in Nigeria.
We believe that menstrual hygiene should be treated as an essential part of girls’ health, wellbeing and education. No girl should have to miss school because she cannot afford menstrual products.
Through continued outreach, advocacy and community partnerships, we hope to contribute to a future where every girl can experience her menstrual cycle safely, confidently and with dignity.
We sincerely appreciate our donors, partners, volunteers, school management, teachers, students, and everyone who contributed to the success of this outreach. Your support continues to make it possible for us to reach communities, support vulnerable girls, and promote meaningful change.
